Brian
Hill (FA Cup Final Referee in 1988) was our guest
speaker at our meeting in April, and gave members an
insight into events surrounding the day, and the time
leading up to the final. Brian then took questions
from members. A full report appears in the May

The next meeting of the Society will be our Annual General Meeting,
and this will take
place on Thursday 15 May 2008 - for the
Agenda, please

Members are requested to make every effort to attend -
we need 20 members present in order for the meeting to
be quorate.

The International FA Board met at Gleneagles on Saturday
8 March - no law changes are planned for Season
2008/2009. For a report of the meeting - which

Society member Paul Taylor
has recently vacated the post of Hertfordshire County FA
Referees Development Officer. Another Society member
Phil Sharp has succeeded Paul into the post, and started work at Hertfordshire County FA on 21
April 2008.

has also recently received a presentation from his colleagues
to commemorate his officiating in 150 European matches.
