The October meeting of the Society will take place on Thursday 18 October 2007 at our usual venue, Holtwhites Sports and Social Club, Enfield.  There will be limited formal business, as the meeting will then be a social evening when the Society will make a presentation to Brian Langstone, who recently retired after serving for 40 years as one of the Society auditors.  See this months magazine for a potted history on Brian.  Members may bring their wives; partners; or girlfriends if they so wish.

The first meeting of the Society took place on Thursday 20 September.  A poor attendance saw only 12 members present.  Stan Rosenthal gave those members present an insight into the Law Changes for the current season.

Roger Fox from London CFA, who was going to talk at the September meeting about Grass Roots Football and Assessing at Level 4, has now deferred his talk until the November meeting in the hope that a few more members will attend, as, for any colleagues at this level, or wishing to aspire to this level, they would find it beneficial.

The Football Association recently issued guidance on Goalpost Safety - the use of metal fixings are now banned from season 2007/2008; click here for further information.
